Founded in San Francisco in 2006 by violist Charith Premawardhana, Classical Revolution has evolved into an international grassroots arts movement with active chapters in over 30 cities worldwide.  Classical Revolution seeks to build community by bringing classical music to nontraditional venues such as bars and coffee shops, and to break down the barrier between audience and performer through the revolutionary "chamber jam," during which advanced amateurs, students, and professionals come together to read the standards in a relaxed, friendly environment.  The Atlanta chapter, founded by violist William Johnston and flutist Jessica Sherer, made its debut in February of 2011 at Olivia's Cafe in East Atlanta Village, and has since brought the Revolution to several venues throughout the metro area.
